The design and development of a medallion

Welcome to the "Masters Series"; each of the following medallions is named after a different hole at Augusta National Golf Club, where the Masters golf tournament is played every year.  I've moved these from the Home Page so those of you who would like to print them out will find it a little easier.

Hole #1 is called "Tea Olive" and is constructed of Brazilian Cherry, Hard Rock Maple and Jatoba.

Hole #7 "Pampas"; not a real good picture, but a lovely piece.  Made from Hickory, Walnut, Maple, Ash, Jatoba and Brazilian Cherry.

Hole #8 "Yellow Jasmine";  this lovely medallion was made from Oak, Walnut, Maple and Cherry and turned out to be one of the largest I've created.  It graces an entryway in Richmond, VA and is surrounded by matching border pieces that match the border of the medallion.

Naturally, any of these compasses can be made using other species of wood.

(As you can see, I have a way to go to complete this page, but bear with me and I'll get it done eventually.  At least you have a few pictures to look at, right?)
